Workplace conflict is normal and unavoidable, but can be difficult to navigate. Unresolved conflict can undermine productivity, increase stress levels, and damage organizational culture. In this 2-hour interactive workshop, participants will learn about constructive communication strategies for successfully managing conflict at work. We will cover a variety of topics about conflict, including orientations to conflict, the role of organizational culture, kitchen-sinking, debilitative and facilitative emotions, effective language use, and the importance of listening. Participants will also have the opportunity to apply what they learn through the analysis of workplace conflict scenarios.
