TRAINING LOCATION: Primex, 46 Donovan Street, Concord, NH 03301
Confined space entry is dangerous since many of the hazards associated with confined spaces are difficult to detect. This program is designed to teach employees the proper safety procedures and equipment needed when entering a confined space. Emphasis will be placed on identifying confined spaces and highlighting the appropriate sequence of events needed to safely enter these dangerous areas. Although the program touches upon it, this is not a class in confined space rescue techniques.

David Witham
Dave Witham, Director of Risk Management, has been a member of the Primex3 Risk Management Services Department for 35 years. David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety from Keene State College and holds the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation though the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. David is currently an At-Large City Councilor and Deputy Mayor in the City of Somersworth and is the Council’s designee to the City’s Planning Board. David has chaired the City’s Charter Review Commission and served for more than 24 years as a call firefighter and call department crew chief. When not busy at work David enjoys umpiring high school and American Legion Baseball and snowboarding on NH’s slopes.

Derek Martel
Derek joined Primex3 in 2022 as a Risk Management Consultant, working with members to address their training and risk management needs. He is a 25-year veteran of the fire service and retired from the Concord Fire Department as Captain of the Broadway Station. In addition, Derek served as a regional coordinator for the PFFNH peer support team and instructed at the NH Fire Academy. He is a graduate of Columbia Southern University and lives in Concord with his wife, two daughters, a dog, and a bevy of chickens.

Life Safety Specialists, Inc. was formed in 1988 to provide site-specific competency-based training to clients in the industrial, municipal and healthcare industries.
We have provided training to hundreds of clients throughout the New England area. We have also provided our services to the Emergency Medical Services of Ireland and Israel.
We are now providing our training and consulting services to include E-learning and site-specific hazard analysis and problem-solving.
We are rapidly expanding into the area of Emergency Management. Our consulting services include Corporate and Community NIMS/ICS implementation and training programs, as well as Emergency Response Plans & Vulnerability Assessments for the Water Sector and General Industry.
