Fires in public works and highway facilities can be disastrous and result in large scale damage to the structure, operations and potentially even human life. It is often an overlooked part of property protection and life safety. This presentation will address the hazards found in garages, maintenance shops and will explore strategies to address this potential source of loss commonly found in DPW garages and maintenance shops.

 3.  This is an interactive webinar utilizing Adobe Connect’s features and tools such as chat, polling questions, and status icons such as raising your hand.  We will review Best Practices for a successful webinar prior to the start of the program.  Please come ready to participate. 

 

4.  A widely accepted webinar best practice is to have each participant register and login individually, using their own computer.  This provides the greatest outcome for effective learning as each registered participant has an opportunity to engage with the webinar facilitator to the maximum extent possible.  Primex3 supports this practice, but individuals may participate in a group effort.

    Dave Witham, Director of Risk Management, has been a member of the Primex3 Risk Management Services Department for 35 years.  David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety from Keene State College and holds the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation though the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.  David is currently an At-Large City Councilor and Deputy Mayor in the City of Somersworth and is the Council’s designee to the City’s Planning Board.  David has chaired the City’s Charter Review Commission and served for more than 24 years as a call firefighter and call department crew chief.  When not busy at work David enjoys umpiring high school and American Legion Baseball and snowboarding on NH’s slopes.
