PLEASE NOTE:  Approximately one hour of online course work is required by the National Council for Mental Health before attending this training. You will receive email communication two weeks prior to the training to complete the pre-work. 

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. Participants will learn how to respond using the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan.

    Carrie Goodwin

    Carrie Goodwin is a passionate facilitator with a strong foundation in both psychology and public service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and brings over two decades of experience supporting individuals and organizations through meaningful, people-centered work. Before joining Primex3 in 2017, Carrie spent five years in municipal administration, where she developed a deep appreciation for the real-world demands facing public sector professionals. 


    As a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, Carrie creates an engaging, judgement-free space to provide a safe and encouraging environment for participants. Her facilitation style is rooted in a belief that everyone deserves the tools to support their own well-being – and that of others. Whether leading a workshop or connecting one-on-one, Carrie is known for her authenticity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to empowering others.
