Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a very specific way of having a conversation about change. The process of Motivational Interviewing discovers each person’s value and interests. MI can equip you with the tools to more effectively engage your staff, citizens, and students in the process of making change and minimize resistance to change. MI is used by different types of professionals in a variety of settings including public safety, correctional facilities, schools and more.

In this experiential workshop you will:

• Discover how our intent can influence the behavior change process
• Practice Motivational Interviewing techniques

    Lisa Stockwell, M.Ed.

    Lisa Stockwell, M.Ed.,has over 20 years’ experience as a trainer and educator working with organizations, groups and individuals in the issues related to positive behavior change, effective communication skills, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. She believes that the style of the conversation is essential in helping clients move towards  change that will improve their quality of life. Lisa is certified Train the Trainer, Motivational Interviewing Trainer and Life Coach. She is a member of MINT (Motivational Interviewing International Trainers) and Master Trainer in Stanford's Workplace Chronic Disease Self-Management Program.
