Ideally, managing an employee’s performance should consist of more than a once-a-year event, where a supervisor completes an appraisal form and seeks out their employee for a quick chat and signature.

In fact, performance management is meant to be a system -- one that encourages employee growth, connects individual employee roles to the larger organizational goals, and communicates feedback effectively to address any performance deficiencies.

This training will review several broad elements of an effective performance management system including:

  • Conducting Evaluations/Appraisals
  • Goal Setting
  • One-on-One Discussions
  • Difficult Discussions
  • 9 Box Grid

As we take a deeper dive into these elements, we’ll discuss the value and importance of performance feedback and the role supervisors and HR can play in the process.

In this interactive session, participants will engage in discussions related to these key elements and leave with tools and samples to draw from as they move forward in their careers.
