This program addresses the health and safety aspects of plowing snow. From a lack of pre-planning the route to not enough sleep, participants will examine the factors that lead to injuries, and discuss ways to prevent them. Learning objectives for this course are:

  • Highlight the leading injury causes, and associated control measures, for plow operators.
  • Learn the importance, from a worker safety standpoint, of pre-planning the plow route
  • Identify how sleep and dietary factors can affect the health and safety of plow operators.
  • Understand the public relations aspects of plowing and snow removal.

Part of Primex3’s snowplow operator safety program will utilize a Snowplow Simulator that uses state-of-the-art technology to prepare snowplow drivers to expect the unexpected and deal with the challenges of adverse winter conditions.

Who Should Attend: Employees and their supervisors, up to and including department heads, who are responsible for snow plowing and snow removal operations. Open to members in the Workers Compensation and Property & Liability programs
