This training session is designed for individuals considering stepping into a supervisory role or those who are new to supervision. It will provide an in-depth discussion on what to expect in a supervisory position, whether your current behaviors align with effective leadership, and which core skills are essential for success in this role. By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of the expectations of a supervisor and the tools they need to thrive in this dynamic leadership position. No prior supervisory experience is necessary.

Discussions and exercises will provide an honest insight into the realities and challenges associated with becoming a supervisor and assess your readiness for taking on this role. We will explore mistakes new supervisors often make and a provide a clear view of what your first year in a supervisory position may look like. This program will not only provide you with the information and strategy needed to make a successful transition but the encouragement to do so.

Afternoon Session with Nicole Armaganian & Rick Alpers
Building Your Supervisory Toolbox: Essential Skills for Future Leaders
This training is designed for aspiring supervisors who want to develop key leadership skills before stepping into a supervisory role. You’ll learn the foundational tools needed for effective communication, motivating your team, and fostering psychological safety. This session provides practical insights and strategies that will help you build confidence and prepare to lead others with clarity and compassion.
Session Learning Objectives:
- Effective Communication: Discover how to express yourself clearly, listen actively, and give constructive feedback to build strong relationships and trust.
- Motivating and Inspiring Teams: Learn techniques to encourage and energize others, promoting a sense of ownership and accountability, even before stepping into a formal leadership position.
- Fostering Psychological Safety: Understand the importance of creating an environment where others feel safe to share ideas, take risks, and grow without fear of failure or judgment.

Nick Manolis
Nick Manolis has spent his career in a wide variety of senior management and consulting roles in the private, public and non-profit sectors focusing on human resource management, training, development and facilitation. Most recently, Nick served as Vice President of Human Resource Development for Associated Grocers of New England. Nick has been engaged in providing training and development services to health care, government, food service, manufacturing, distribution and educational organizations. The principle that “helping organizations develop and grow by helping employees develop and grow” fuels Nick’s passion and guides his work.

Nicole Armaganian
Nicole joined Primex in 2018. She entered the Team as a Risk Management Consultant focusing on working with members to address their training, consulting, and risk management needs. Nicole is a 22-year veteran of law enforcement. She retired from the New Hampshire State Police as a Lieutenant serving as Troop Commander of Troop G.
Nicole holds industry designations such as Associate Risk Manager (ARM), Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI), and Certified Workplace Mediator and Trainer in Conflict Management (CMT). In addition, Nicole has initiated and presented at numerous programs related to leadership.
Nicole is a graduate of UNH and is also the Concord High School Varsity Field Hockey Coach.

Rick Alpers
Rick Alpers, Risk Services Consultant, is a graduate of Plymouth State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management and a minor in history. Prior to joining the Primex3 team, he was a former Town Administrator and is a former member of the Board of Selectmen in Bristol, NH. In his current role as Risk Services Consultant, Rick is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Primex3 members. In that capacity, he conducts regular onsite trainings and assists in various risk management inspections for members. He also assists members in team building, goal setting, mission and vision crafting and behavioral assessments. Lastly, Rick is the facility coordinator for the Primex building in Concord.
