HOW TO JOIN WEBINAR

 

1.       Please join us in an Adobe Connect meeting.  Click the link to join the webinar 15 minutes prior to start time:

No need for an Adobe Connect login and password; just use the Guest feature when logging into the meeting room by typing your first and last name

 

2.  Be sure you will have access to a desktop computer and a telephone.  Choose one of the following three (3) audio options at the Join Audio Conference screen: 

 

A.     SYSTEM WILL CALL YOU (recommended):  At the Join Audio Conference screen, please select Dial-out [Receive a call from the meeting].  Please use the direct telephone number of the phone you will be using for the Webinar.

 

B.      USE THE DIAL-IN FEATURE:  At the join Audio Conference screen, please select Dial-in to the Audio Conference via Phone and call in using the numbers below.

            C.   LISTEN ONLY:  At the Join Audio Conference screen, please select Listen Only to listen to the webinar via your computer speakers. 

 

3.  This is an interactive webinar utilizing Adobe Connect’s features and tools such as chat, polling questions, and status icons such as raising your hand.  We will review Best Practices for a successful webinar prior to the start of the program.  Please come ready to participate. 

 

4.  A widely accepted webinar best practice is to have each participant register and login individually, using their own computer.  This provides the greatest outcome for effective learning as each registered participant has an opportunity to engage with the webinar facilitator to the maximum extent possible.  Primex3 supports this practice, but individuals may participate in a group effort.

Seasonal Recreational Staff have an important responsibility and can present risk to themselves, fellow staff and program participants. This program will highlight position responsibilities, common hazards and loss areas and identified methods to prevent and control risks during the summer months.

Objectives:

  1. Recognize that this is a job and not just an extension of an employee’s social life.
  2. Identify safeguards and other protections against various risks including environmental and water hazards.
  3. Articulate what to do in the event of an emergency and how department policies can guide those actions.
  4. Be familiar with the proper type of personal protective and rescue equipment that may be available.

Who should attend: 

  • Supervisors, up to and including department heads.
  • Summer Camp Councilors
  • Lifeguards
  • Any employee involved with recreation programming

    David Witham

    Dave Witham, Director of Risk Management, has been a member of the Primex3 Risk Management Services Department for 35 years.  David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety from Keene State College and holds the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation though the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.  David is currently an At-Large City Councilor and Deputy Mayor in the City of Somersworth and is the Council’s designee to the City’s Planning Board.  David has chaired the City’s Charter Review Commission and served for more than 24 years as a call firefighter and call department crew chief.  When not busy at work David enjoys umpiring high school and American Legion Baseball and snowboarding on NH’s slopes.

    Nicole Armaganian

    Nicole joined Primex in 2018.  She entered the Team as a Risk Management Consultant focusing on working with members to address their training, consulting, and risk management needs.  Nicole is a 22-year veteran of law enforcement. She retired from the New Hampshire State Police as a Lieutenant serving as Troop Commander of Troop G.

    Nicole holds industry designations such as Associate Risk Manager (ARM), Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI), and Certified Workplace Mediator and Trainer in Conflict Management (CMT).  In addition, Nicole has initiated and presented at numerous programs related to leadership.

    Nicole is a graduate of UNH and is also the Concord High School Varsity Field Hockey Coach.
