Managing employees can be challenging, even in the best of circumstances. When we add protected leave into the mix, supervisors can easily get in over their heads. In this session, we will explore an array of HR challenges connected to managing employee leave. Through scenario-based discussion, we’ll review and share best practices in managing these common leaves (such as FMLA and ADA) and discuss how to avoid potential missteps. We’ll also discuss how to avoid the costly risks associated with inconsistency of practice, sloppy record-keeping, and lack of training.
